Vietnam Vespa club
hold World Cup parade




Owners
of traditional Italian-made scooters, well known Vespas in Vietnam Thursday
welcomed the upcoming World Cup in Germany in style.

Some 32
antique Vespas joined the parade Thursday morning along streets in the center of
Ho Chi Minh City.

Each of 32
Vespa scooters was decorated with colors of traditional jerseys of a team in the
World Cup 2006 finals, with riders dawning World Cup jerseys as well.

The parade
made its way along Le Duan, Ton Duc Thang, Dong Khoi streets, and entered the
square at Notre Dame Cathedral.

The parade
demonstrated the excitement and ambience in Vietnam just ahead of the global
football event that take place every four years.

Game 1 is
tonight pitting 1990 world champions and cup hosts Germany against one of the
smallest nations to qualify for the world cup this year ? Cost Rica.
